Derell was a 25 year-old young man from Compton, California, who never caused trouble for anybody. His mother was sick with Huntington’s disease and his father, now deceased, was a military man. Hampton, however, was raised by his great-aunt, who was rough on him but kept him out of trouble. Derell was never great at any one thing, but good.
